Lots of Different Fabric!
After finishing all my challenges I thought I would assemble a take-along project for the summer. I was inspired by France's demonstration on English Paper Piecing and liked the look of a vintage random colour hexagon quilt Diane showed earlier in the year. I began picking colours from my stash and cutting out hexagons, thinking 150 pieces would be enough. I thought I would use each fabric once. At first there were some colours and patterns I didn't want to use, but as pulling out fabrics and cutting became addictive, I thought I would cut one from each fabric I had. I went through boxes , bags and drawers of fabric and imagine my surprise to find I had more than 450 different pieces of fabric. Here they are all cut and piled and ready to sew! I will see as I progress how many I actually sew together. Now all I need to do is cut out the paper pieces!
